The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan TD, today officially launched Rehab Recycle’s new state-of-the-art facility dedicated to electrical reuse in Tallaght – the first of its kind in Ireland.

Rehab Recycle’s new state of the art WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) recycling facility in Ballymount was officially opened by the Mayor of South Dublin, County Cllr. Caitríona Jones today. The new facility has the capacity to process 10,000 tonnes of waste electrical and electronic equipment every year.

Rehab Recycle, in partnership with Navan-based company Sean Bróga, today launched a shoe recycling pilot programme in three Meath towns – Navan, Trim and Kells – with the general public being invited to bring their old shoes to shoe shops in each town for recycling.
